I am a retired Minneapolis Police Sergeant. I self-published Walking in 2005. It is now in it’s third edition. It is being used in nearly every law enforcement and criminal justice program in Minnesota including Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, and the University of St. Thomas. I am interested in selling the rights because I believe a major publisher could provide the credibility the book needs to be part of colleges across the United States. It is already being used in a few Universities in Australia and is in the London public library and in President Obama’s and Congresswoman Shelia Jackson Lee’s libraries. I can’t confirm that Obama has read it, only that Sheila Jackson Lee gave the President a copy herself. It has been peer reviewed by nearly all levels of law enforcement and academia.

I have been called a luminary in the area of peer intervention and quoted in the following publication. https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/1098611117710443

Most recently Walking was the impetus behind bringing me to New Orleans to help them adapt the peer intervention program that I developed to New Orleans needs. The program in New Orleans came to be called “EPIC – Ethical Policing is Courageous”. http://epic.nola.gov/home/

I conducted the first in the nation Train-the-Trainer course in Peer Intervention in New Orleans in March 2016. See Below Articles.
